Introduction to Boating

This is an introductory course in navigation maneuvers, for 2 to 7 participants (number of students may be reduced during the COVID period according to permitted standards). Following the Sails Canada program, participants will have the opportunity to learn about the pleasure of sailing. It allows you to introduce safe practices, casting off, docking and sailing maneuvers in a safe environment and in learning mode. This course can be easily adapted to suit the confidence level of novice sailors and more experienced participants.
Compétences développées
Developed Skills:
Seaworthiness of the boat, location of safety equipment and its use as well as the role of a crew member and the resulting safety.
Practical Skills:
Participate in the preparation as a crew member for casting off and docking the boat, demonstrate safe behavior while en route and participate in operations aimed at securing the boat before leaving.
